My love for drawing began when I was young, and over the course of my life it has turned into a professional endeavor. My primary love is illustrating event posters (mostly for music performances), but I also illustrate maps, medical diagrams, technical drawings, and T-shirt designs. I can draw the lines that convey the story you want to tell.
One of my passions is illustrating event posters. Hand-drawn type plays a large role in my poster designs.
Many of the logos I have designed have an element of illustration to them, but the most important element is always the type.
I love making a well-designed map. Compiling all data points and then using type in a way that everything reads clearly is an art form.
Precision and accuracy are paramount when creating technical illustrations. Scale and perspective are the starting points. The point size relative to the illustration should always be considered as well.
Some of my illustrations have found their way onto T-shirts and other apparel. I'm mindful of the screen-printing process when creating the artwork for apparel.
It is always an interesting and educational challenge to undertake medical illustrations.
These are just random drawings from my sketchbook over the years. While I enjoy the professional illustration tools at my disposal, I always enjoy putting pen or pencil to paper.
