Capturing Sound

From a young age, I have always been fascinated by recording. I love the ability to record sounds. I have a keen interest in recording music, but I am also interested in recording interviews and narration, as it relates to video. Knowing what type of mic with a specific polar pattern to use in a certain room can make all the difference in how the recording sounds. If you're not using a 32-Bit Float recorder, you always need to set the gain according to the decibel levels to avoid clipping.
